Genevieve Strickland

Genevieve received her Bachelors degree in Art Therapy in 2004 and her Education Specialist in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2008 from Converse College. She is an associate member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy as well as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Intern. Genevieve has been with WestGate for over two years and since starting her internship she has helped write grants to increase WestGate's availability to the community.

Genevieve enjoys working with diverse cultures, different ideas about religion, sexuality, gender identity, marriage, and love. Her background in art therapy gives her the creative lens to help both children and adults explore their challenges through art as a safe medium when they cannot express themselves with words. She prides herself on being a straightforward and honest person who wants to help connect individuals with their authentic and true selves
